Herpes zoster ophthalmicus-induced myositis and oculomotor nerve palsy

Abstract Herpes zoster ophthalmicus is a viral infection caused by the varicella-zoster virus, affecting ophthalmic branch of trigeminal nerve, called nerve. characterized painful rash and blisters on one side forehead around eye, along with symptoms such as eye redness, tearing, sensitivity to light, can also lead serious complications, corneal ulcers, glaucoma, vision loss, particularly if involved. myositis oculomotor nerve involvement are rare complications herpes infection. Early diagnosis treatment, antiviral medications, corticosteroids, pain management, important prevent alleviate symptoms. In our case report we demonstrate an 81-year-old female patient left sided ophthalmicus, associated MRI proved orbital involvement. Symptoms were slowly reduced therapy. People who develop should seek prompt medical attention receive appropriate care avoid complications.
